The Smithsonian is the largest museum system in the world, comprising 21 museums and the National Zoo, holding and protecting treasures that should not be touched by any dim-witted political operative. 

We are angry that a great institution is being threatened. But anger too quickly disappears into a mist of complaints. Rather than complain, we believe it is best to demonstrate our love and respect for the work of the Smithsonian. 

Our newsletters and social media posts will carry recommendations from members of our community identifying objects held in one of the Smithsonian Museums that are personally meaningful, intriguing, and strikingly noteworthy. Visit the Smithsonian and support the integrity of their work.
